Dear Artists and Families,
The Seawall Art Show is being held in Olde Towne Portsmouth on August 22 and 23, 2026. The Student Show will be held Saturday, August 22nd, from 10 AM to 5 PM in the 200 block of High Street. We are looking forward to having students throughout the Hampton Roads region participate. This is an opportunity for students to exhibit and sell their artwork. The Student Show is open to students in grades 6-12. Seniors who will be graduating in 2026 will be eligible. The involvement in this type of show provides students with real-world experiences - exhibiting alongside professional Artists, manning your own show in a professional atmosphere and selling your work! We are pleased to provide this opportunity and cordially welcome your participation.
This is the 54th year of this art show in Portsmouth and we have exciting plans for the event. We anticipate having 80 professional Artists and more students than ever before exhibiting in this show. Entertainment will be provided throughout each day of the show with a grand opening on Saturday, August 22, at 10 AM. Each student will be allowed to display one or more original pieces of artwork depending on available space; however, you may bring more work to share with others who are interested in your work. Awards will be presented Saturday afternoon. There will be separate cash awards for middle school and high school students. Additional details will be mailed to you in July. We suggest that you take home some of your best work at the end of the school year and bring that with you to the Seawall Art Student Show. Students must arrive by 9 AM Saturday to display their artwork.
Sincerely,
Peggy Davis, Coordinator
Student Art Show
