The Seawall Art Show adheres to the CDC guidelines regarding Covid, masks requirements and the rules governing public gatherings. 

CALL TO ARTISTS

The Seawall Art Show, Inc. is a juried fine art and fine craft show on the downtown streets in Portsmouth, Virginia.  A 501(c)3, the show is maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers and a Show Coordinator.  Artists compete for over $6000 in cash awards during this two-day outdoor event.  

 

The Seawall Art Show is open to individual artists, (2) person collaborative teams (18 years or older) and student artists (6th - 12th graders including graduated seniors). 

Each artist/exhibitor is expected to adhere to the decisions of the Seawall Art Show Director, committee and it's representatives.  We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of the Seawall Art Show Board.

For your convenience, we accept credit cards via PayPal.  (A PayPal account is not required to use this service)

HOW TO APPLY 

Artists (18 years or older and collaborative teams) should complete an online application and pay the fee indicated in the "Important Dates and Artist Fee Information” section.  In addition, artists are required to upload (3) digital images representative of their work and a tent/booth image in jpeg format.  Each digital image (jpeg) should be 800 pixels on the longest side with a total file size of no more than 3 megabytes.  Artist statements and resumes are also required in pdf or Word format.

ARTISTS WHO RECEIVED A CASH AWARD in 2023 and will be exhibiting in the same medium DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FEE. (Booth/exhibitor and late fees still apply.)

Student artists (current 6th - 12th graders and graduated seniors) are also eligible to participate in the Seawall Art Show.  To apply, students should register online by the deadline.  Art Teacher recommendations and Parental release (students under 18) must be received in order for the application to be considered complete.
